Foreign Service Oral Assessment: November 2012

On November 16, I woke up at 4:30am, showered, got into my best suit and took the Washington D.C. Metro to the State Department Annex for my Oral Assessment. I probably got up a little too early since I was the second candidate there that morning, but the results of arrivingĀ late, disqualification, would have been catastrophic. A few minutes after I arrived, one of my friends whom I had prepared with online for the last few months joined me. I had actually met up with him the night before at the Old Ebbitt Grill. He turned out to be just as friendly in person as he was online and his arrival put me a bit more at ease. Continue reading
